The best way to describe this loft in downtown Fort Collins when we started was blah. After we finished, it was anything but.
We gutted the kitchen and living room, leaving the ceiling supports exposed and painted black for a dramatic, modern look. Sleek Ecowood cabinets pop from the wall to give the open galley kitchen dimension. The red oak floors were in good shape, but a coat of ebony stain made them gorgeous. We tucked in a powder bath behind the kitchen, then upstairs consolidated a bedroom and bathroom to open up the private living space. The new luxurious master bath features a trough sink for two (instead of the traditional double sinks), a sleek, modern soaking tub that replaced the blah beige Jacuzzi tub, and unique hexagonal tile that radiates across the wall.
