BATCHPAD

This shotgun-style custom, modern home fit perfectly on the long, narrow lot the owner selected while allowing for an in-law suite over the garage, plus a roof-top deck to capture the Front Range mountain views.

ABOUT THIS HOME

The modern home features exposed structural steel beams in fire engine red, maple hardwood floors, and jailhouse stair railing in conduit that lightens up the stairway while still creating a feeling of structure. Because the kitchen is such a prominent feature in the open living area, we vertically matched the grain in the walnut cabinets from ceiling to floor for great visual continuity, creating a work of art in addition to a functional wall of storage space.

The floating, built-in walnut desk saves space while providing enough room for a computer workstation. The integrated walnut dining table and walnut bench seat also maximize space while visually connecting to the kitchen cabinetry.
