LAKEVIEW

The architecture of this lakeside custom home in Timnath creates a modern twist on the traditional mid-century modern style. Structural insulated panels (SIPs) in the roof eliminate trusses and allowed us to craft a ceiling of exposed rafters and tongue-and-groove paneling for a true, mid-century feel.

ABOUT THIS HOME

The open concept floor plan with huge windows was designed to capture lake views from as many angles as possible. The view from the master bathroom vanity is over the lake as well, with mirrors suspended from the ceiling to minimize interference. Even in the basement workout room an overhead door rolls up to expose the outdoors.

The exterior features traditional Colorado building materials – cedar siding, steel roofing, and locally sourced stone, which allowed this mid-century modern home to blend nicely alongside more traditional homes in the neighborhood. The covered Ipe wood deck features a fire pit for cool evenings and minimal railings that provide safety without obscuring the view.
